Young men are invaluable to the Kingdom of God. God uses the gifts, talents, and abilities of young men to greatly advance His Kingdom as they more fully commit to be, and live, as He desires. Young men are not being committed in Kingdom work to the fullest extent. They must be fully committed. To be a fully committed disciple of Jesus is to flourish in a relationship with God as you Know ★ Love ★ Listen ★ Obey ★ Share—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
There are six stages in the life of faith. In the book, “The Critical Journey: Stages in the Life of Faith,” authors Janet O. Hagberg and Robert A. Gulich describe the stages: 1. Discover. 2. Learn and Belong. 3. Work for God. 4. Focus Inward. 5. Focus Outward. 6. Live like Christ. As we work to have young men flourish as fully committed disciples, we encourage them to advance through the stages. We use named roles to identify the progress. The roles are named after Biblical characters—1. Eutychus (Discover). 2. Timothy (Learn and Belong). 3. Titus (Work for God). 4. Silas Focus Inward). 5. Paul (Focus Outward). 6. Barnabas (Live like Christ).
The men in the Paul and Barnabas roles focus on discipleship and multiplication. They fully commit young men as disciples and encourage them to multiply. You may want to join Network 20 as a Barnabas or Paul. Below are the 1-2-3 easy steps to participation for men who desire to be a Paul or Barnabas.
STEP 1: Review the Network 20 document titled “The Disciples” by clicking HERE. Determine the role—Paul or Barnabas—that fits you best and decide on other men who will participate in the other roles—Eutychus, Timothy, Titus, Silas, Paul, and Barnabas. It is best to disciple six or less men at one time. 1. Every Paul has a Barnabas and at least one Eutychus, Timothy, Titus, or Silas. 2. Every Barnabas has a Paul or at least one Eutychus, Timothy, Titus, or Silas.
STEP 2: Contact Us with the request for Network 20 to send you the registration link. Receive the link and register online. (Only Paul and Barnabas register. As a Paul or Barnabas, you list your disciples on your registration.)
STEP 3: After Network 20 processes your registration, receive and review the “Network 20 Participation Guide,” receive your first set of discipling materials, participate in your first session with a Network 20 coach, and celebrate the beginning of a new adventure in making disciples.
